Lab Notes Pillow Cover
Here’s a pillow cover inspired by lab notes that’s sure to accentuate your home’s decor.
This design was drawn from a collection of notes taken by chemist, Ruth Maust during her PhD studies researching new carbon-based materials. In her words:
…most of my work was related to making polymers from circular molecules called “carbon nanohoops” (if you’re familiar with carbon nanotubes, nanohoops are like slices of a nanotube). We can make carbon nanohoops with atomic-level precision (not yet possible for carbon nanotubes), so by stringing carbon nanohoops together in different ways, the idea was that we’d have a lot of control over the structure and properties of the final materials. The coolest part of working with these materials, which you unfortunately can’t see here, is that they’re super brightly fluorescent! – Ruth Maust
